About Us
Mission Statement: To protect, enhance and sustain the ecological, environmental and recreational character of Spofford Lake and the surrounding watershed. The Spofford Lake Association is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Spofford Lake is a spring fed, 739-acre (2.99 km2) water body located in Chesterfield NH. Water from Spofford Lake flows via Partridge Brook to the Connecticut River. Pierce Island, perhaps NH's smallest park, is located in Spofford Lake. Spofford Village is located at the lake's outlet. The boat launch is located at Rt 9A and South Shore Rd. Parking here is limited. Ware's Grove Beach, off Rt 9A, is open to the public. North Shore Beach is restricted to town residents. Parking is limited at both beaches so arrive early. |
